Our vision is to crush negative social perceptions around
homelessness, restore hope to those who need to know their
lives matter, and welcome those on the outside of society in.
David helped run “The Humans of Edinburgh” which captured pictures and stories of real people living in the city. It was through this page that David was able to meet and hear the stories of those living on the streets. He quickly realised that many of the unfortunate circumstances that homeless people faced were outside of their control. Behind the abuse of drugs or alcohol lay a humongous amount of hurt from the past. They felt ignored, misjudged, and utterly helpless.
Time and time again, David would hear “you’re the first person to speak to me today” from the people he came across on the streets. Despite the fact that they lived on some of the busiest streets in the UK, every single one felt completely rejected and isolated from the rest of society.
David knew he had to do something.
He wanted to come up with a creative way to make a difference that others could share in. Using his camera as a tool to engage with those on the streets, David created a vessel to bridge the gap between society and the homeless.
A forward-thinking street wear brand with a “wear-one, share-one” concept was born in 2016.
With every product purchased, we provide you with a free, additional product to give to someone without a home in your community.
What drives the “wear one, share one” concept is that behind every person is a unique story, which deserves to be heard.
Although our products provide practical help for the homeless, we believe your time and words of hope are key to seeing homelessness combatted. Through giving apparel, speaking words of hope, and helping society to understand these irreplaceable humans through the sharing of stories, we seek to put an end to homelessness for good.
